What is Virtual training? Its challenges and solutions.
Caught in a dilemma, whether online learning is beneficial or not? Stuck between the idea of choosing online training over one-on-one interaction?
Tired of seeing yourself wandering behind the thoughts of wasting holidays by just overthinking on this subject? No worry! Let us have deep insight into all this.
Virtual training is a feature in the modern education system by which the students are taught by the mentors/ teachers by connecting virtually,
via video calls or voice calls. It calls for training the students in their particular field through the medium of the internet. Currently, colleges, schools,
and even internships are being held virtually. Many people are doing work from home jobs. Various webinars, events are being held virtually.
Where the speaker/mentor arranges a meeting and all the audience join via invites.
Now, as it has been inferred that education is continuing through online mode. Many of us would think if it is better than the previous
education system or not where the teacher was present in front of us and it was much easy to communicate. Or this mode is better where
we can save our money by not travelling, by not buying uniforms etc. A lot of questions arise about which form of education is recommended.
I would like to clear this by talking about its challenges and solutions.
Challenges
Connection issue: The first and foremost obstacle we face is this. Many a time while connecting over calls, we face internet issues.
What if while giving exams, someone faces a connectivity issue and all the answers get vanished. These are some problems that occur and will occur.
The enthusiasm to learn, ask, doubt and question flourishes. But the online training trend when examined examines a downfall in this context.
Students are seen to be demotivated as if they are doing self-learning with no one around to have a competition with.
As if, the student has got what the teacher is conveying or the teacher analyses if the student is listening or not.
The gestures and posture state that all. But in online and virtual training methods this has reduced somehow. There is no effective communication
between the listener and the receiver and hence the content gets lost.
you need to answer some of the MCQs, to find if you know what you have learnt. This may become boring after a period where you would
not be in a position to handle more.
Solutions:
If there are challenges and difficulties, definitely the solution to some of them will surely exist. Some of them that I found out is:
If you face an internet or connectivity issue, you must first check if the URL is correct. Check if you have a constant net pack.
and working as a team using virtual breakout rooms.
Hence, online and offline training both have their pros and cons. Do comment on which one you recommend and why!
